Welcome to Jalapenos

Gloucester's only authentic Mexican Restaurant. Established in 1992 we take pride in serving only genuine Mexican recipes brought here by our staff from Mexico City, central and southern Mexico. All of our dishes are meticulously prepared using only the freshest possible ingredients.

Jalapenos is the real deal, offering only genuine Mexican cuisine made from recipes brought by the staff from Mexico City, Central and Southern Mexico. Alejandro Pardo founded the restaurant back in 1992, when he came to the US to follow his true love, now wife and business partner Kristen Pardo who had met him while on a trip to our southern neighbor across the border. He brought his grandmother’s collection of recipes with him and never looked back!

Today, Alex is joined by his two partners Steve and Jaimie and together, they provide a friendly atmosphere, live entertainment and the most delicious dishes, meticulously prepared using only the freshest ingredients. The prices are VERY reasonable and the owners are committed to their community, dedicating Mondays and Wednesdays every week to non-profits with whom they share 10% of their proceeds on their dedicated night. They also regularly participate in the local blood drive, giving restaurant gift cards to blood donors who go in the Red Cross mobile parked in front on that day. But the food itself is the reason you need to go there if you have not already: One recent customer made these comments “Great food, great service and our food was fresh and tasty.” Another said “My white sangria was sweet and delicious, and their queso and chips were great (not too salty). A good meal, cute atmosphere, friendly service.” That sums
it up very well. Oh and did we tell you about their extensive Margarita list?
