Trumpet player Kelley Bolduc founded Hot Like Fire in 1989 during her final year at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. She met a student from Barbados and attended a performance of his where she won a round-trip ticket to the small Caribbean island. After falling in love with reggae and soca music she returned to Boston to start her own band, commencing as an eleven-piece group, with members hailing from different Caribbean islands and America.
Over the past twenty something years Hot Like Fire has refined itself to a contemporary six-piece band. The band plays several nights a week during the summer months and has become the most sought after reggae party band throughout the New England area igniting audiences performance after performance.
The band attracts over 600 fans every Sunday afternoon during the summer months at their Surf Side 5 deck party on Salisbury Beach. Hot Like Fire is a professional, established and well-managed, authentic reggae band. They perform for corporate events, backyard parties, music festivals, weddings, private events, cruises, colleges, ski resorts and clambakes…you name it.
